Class 2 Spring Term 2018
Health and Hygiene
We were reminded how important it is to keep clean for our health.
These hand washing signs have been mad by Class 2 and will be displayed around our sink and toilet areas.
It is recommended that we should take between one and two minutes to wash our hands properly. Use soap, rinse and don't forget to dry hands too!

Maths - Doubling
We used the Thinkpads to help us recall doubles of numbers quickly. Our speed increased and we were able to answer more questions correctly by the end of the session. Well done everyone-great focus and good thinking skills!

As part of Year 2's computing curriculum we have been learning programming skills using the Bee Bots.
We created routes and directions by giving the Bee Bots clear instructions in the correct order-this is called an algorithm.

Class 2 Science-Animals including Humans
As part of our new science topic, we have been looking at the differences/similarities of baby and adult animals. Last week, we had a special visit from Miss Burrows who brought a baby and adult tortoise into school for us to see.
We were able to ask lots of questions about how to care for tortoises. We looked at the patterns on their shells and also got to hold them carefully. We learned a lot and it was brilliant to see and hold the tortoises so closely!
Thank you Miss Burrows for this unique experience!

Narnia-Team Building
This week we worked in small groups with class 1 as part of a challenging team building task. Each group was given a large piece of paper which they had to make a hole in carefully in the middle without tearing the paper.
One child then stepped through the hole while the rest of the group supported one another by lifting the paper up above the person's head. Whilst still not tearing it. It was very tricky, but this group managed the task with great success. Well done everyone. Great perseverance!
