Thank you for everyone’s support last Friday. St. Lucia’s School raised £186.50 for Comic
Relief through the non-uniform and cake sale. Thank you to the parents who organised the flower displays which raised £65 for the school and to all the parents who donated and bought cakes. Mums and Grandmas are welcome to join the children for lunch this Friday from 12.00 to celebrate Mother’s Day and as part of Comic Relief Day. Pizza and chips with a desert to follow will be available.
Please confirm your place with payment of £3.50 to the school kitchen by Friday morning. This Friday, the children are invited to come to school in non-uniform to help us raise money for Comic Relief. Wear your red noses, charity t-shirts or something to make you laugh for a £1 donation.
There will be a cake sale at the end of the school day in the hall. Cakes and biscuit donations would be appreciated on Friday, along with parent volunteers to help with the stall. Thank you for your support. If you buy the Shropshire Star newspaper, please can you support the junior section of Shrewsbury Hockey Club through the Shropshire Star's Cash For Your Community Scheme. The group was one of the 50 chosen from 132 applicants and they now have the opportunity to receive a share of the £20,000 prize fund. To receive funding, they need as many people as possible to collect the Cash For Community tokens as they are printed in the Shropshire Star, between now and Saturday 8th April. Several St Lucia’s pupils have started playing for Shrewsbury Hockey Club, so any funding received will benefit them. If you are able to pass on any tokens, please hand them in at the school reception. Well done to everyone at tonight's hockey. One draw and two narrow losses but fantastic team spirit and determination throughout!! We will win it next year!!
Non-uniform day (further details to follow) Cake and biscuit sale. ANY CAKES WOULD BE APPRECIATED

The school has received its Safer Schools annual re-accreditation following a very good meeting last week. Thank you to the pupils who shared their views which were really positive.
Class 3 and 4 learned lots of information to support their Tudor studies following their visit to Shrewsbury centre last week. We would like to thank Martin Wood, the Town Crier for all his support. The children shared their experiences through some written accounts in
Friday’s celebration assembly. A huge Thank You to CJ Wildlife who very kindly donated the wonderful bird feeders which are visible in the front garden area. This opportunity was explored by Mrs Brennon as part of Class 3’s RSPB project. The birds are already making very good use of
the available food! |
