After a wet and miserable start to Wednesday, the afternoon turned out to be a wonderful day to celebrate sports day.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s sports day and for all the positive feedback we have received! A total of £440 was raised through the stalls and games. A big thank you to the St Lucia’s Friends and staff who helped organise the stalls. Weather permitting, sports day will be held this Wednesday. If the weather is wet, we will look to postpone the races until Thursday 9th July at the same start time of 1.30pm, but fingers crossed for some fine weather! A decision will be made during Wednesday morning and a text message sent out to parents confirming arrangements for you. Please check your mobile phones before lunchtime. Burger/Hot Dog Lunch, if you have ordered your adult lunch (the deadline has now passed) please arrive from 12.30pm. Tea and coffee will also be available. Children will be served their lunch as usual before joining parents outside. Adults are welcome to bring picnic blankets or chairs to sit on if you wish during the races. Races begin at 1.30pm (Your child needs their coloured team t-shirt, PE shorts, trainers, a water bottle and sun hat.) Children will get changed in their classes before the start of the races. Stalls will be open after the races. Please bring your loose change and join in the fun
