All pupils visited St Lucia’s Church over two afternoons last week. The children were invited to help to plant bulbs around the church yard and in the memory garden, planting one for someone they love and another for someone they would like to remember. A big thank you to Sue Woods for kindly arranging for us to be part of this and to our Governors who made it possible. Whilst at the church the children were given a tour of the stained glass windows and encouraged to study them, to take inspiration to create a design for our school mural. The mural will be in the shape of one of the stained glass windows in the church and will be ‘a peek into St Lucia’s School’, children have been encouraged to represent in their artwork what it means to be a part of our school and live our Christian Vision, giving everyone an insight into life as part of our school community. We are very excited to see this project progress.
