This week, Birch class were surprised to find a giant grid on the classroom floor after break time. As part of our maths unit on coordinates, we worked practically to direct each other onto and around the grid using coordinates. This was a fun lesson which helped them all see how the x and y coordinates work, and helped them later in the week to describe how shapes had been translated.
