As part of our learning about Diwali, we also read the story of ’Rama and Sitka’. We found out that they were guided home by many lights after a big battle. Good won over bad and the lights represent hope and love. Divali is also known as the festival of lights and this is why.
We made our own special ‘diva’ pots out of clay. We rolled and then pushed our thumb into the clay to pinch up the sides.
After they had dried, we decorated them with beautiful patterns.
