Class 3 had a fantastic trip to Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms. They spent the morning touring the museum: learning all about the mammoth bones that were discovered near by and finding out more about Iron Age life.

They had lots of hands-on fun trying activities such as making a wattle and daub wall:

Throwing a slingshot:

Wool carding:

We also tried the traditional wode painting styles of the time. Everyone enjoyed this activity and helped their peers to paint the detailed patterns on each other’s hands and faces!

They also saw a demonstration of grinding wheat to make flour. So much knowledge was gained, it was a memorable day for everyone.
