On behalf of the children, staff, parents, and governors of St Lucia’s, I would like to recognise the work of Mr Rowlands as our Interim Head Teacher.
We appreciate that to offer to undertake a short-term secondment is not without its challenges and requires commitment and dedication to the role.
Mr Rowlands has, without doubt, made a fabulous and positive impression on our whole school community. A high-profile Head who has proactively engaged with parents, pupils, and staff. In the short period he has made a real difference, supporting the continued development of key aspects of the curriculum and a new payments system which is nearing implementation. He has enabled all aspects of the school to run smoothly through this transitional period, and has been hugely supportive in choosing to communicate all aspects of his work to the head designate and to me as Chair of Governors. This will enable the school to move seamlessly into the next phase of development.
I would hope that the very genuine appreciation of his engagement with us all, will spur him on to secure a headship in the very near future. We wish him all the very best in his next adventure.
